St. Vrain Valley Schools announced on January 23 that the district had the highest on-time graduation rate in the Denver metropolitan area in 2024, at 94.3 percent. The announcement was made by a letter written by Don Haddad, the superintendent of St. Vrain Valley Schools, which was sent to students and families via email and posted online.
Colorado’s average graduation rate for 2024 was 84.2 percent. This is the second year in a row that St. Vrain Valley Schools has the highest graduation rate of Colorado’s ten largest school districts. In 2023, the district graduated 93.3 percent of its students.
“What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that we’ve accomplished this while maintaining the most rigorous graduation requirements at 24.5 credits,” said Haddad.
Haddad also announced that the school district’s Hispanic graduation rate was 90 percent, which is 12.7 percent higher than the state average. The district’s dropout rate was the lowest in the Denver metropolitan area, at 0.4 percent.
The St. Vrain Valley School District is a public school district that services 13 communities in Colorado, including Broomfield, Dacono, Erie, Firestone, Frederick, Hygiene, Longmont, Lyons, Mead, Niwot, Peaceful Valley, Raymond, and Eastern Boulder. It is the seventh largest school district in the state.
