Caribou Ranch and part Lagerman Agricultural Preserve are closed for the season.
Boulder County Parks and Open Space announced today that Caribou Ranch will remain closed until July 1 while the western side of Lagerman Agricultural Preserve will not reopen until September.
The western end of the Lagerman Agricultural Preserve is closed due to the nesting grounds for birds. Additionally, the northern end of the Open Sky Loop will be closed today for a water line installation.
The Caribou Ranch closing is to protect the spring migratory birds and elk calving and rearing in the area.
