Longmont native Jamie Gaston was selected Miss Longmont for America 2020 on April 1 and will go on to represent Longmont in the upcoming Miss Colorado for America pageant on July 11 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver.

Miss Colorado for America will win over $10,000 in prizes including an all-expenses-paid trip to represent Colorado nationally in Las Vegas. If Gaston goes on to win the title of Miss Colorado for America, she will represent the state of Colorado at the Miss for America Pageant in August.

"I am very honored to have been selected to be your new Miss Longmont for America 2020 and represent my hometown," said Gaston. "My platform focus will be women empowerment, which will include advocacy for domestic/mental abuse, rheumatoid arthritis awareness, and leading a healthy lifestyle: mind, body, and soul. I want to promote positive self-image, personal growth, giving encouragement to build self-confidence, and uplift everyone to be the best versions of themselves."

Jamie Gaston was born and raised in Longmont, attending grade school through college. She followed in her parent's and grandparent's footsteps who were all born and raised in Longmont and also graduated from Longmont High School.

Gaston is an esthetician, wellness and life coach, small business owner, and single mother of three children. She has several years of modeling experience and did print fashion ad modeling at the old Twin Peaks Mall. Gaston also owned Jamie's Boutiques intending to empower women and children of all ages to look and feel their best.

"I am so grateful to get to work on causes that are so close to my heart and in my community. I really want to make an impact in Longmont," said Gaston.
