The Longmont Public Library, Longmont Museum and Longmont Safety Justice Center say that together, we can prevent child abuse.
National Child Abuse Prevention Month in April recognizes the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect, the organizations said in a news release from the City of Longmont.
The month is "dedicated to raising awareness and fostering action," the release states.
Throughout the month, communities across the country display pinwheel gardens as a representation of a collective commitment to prioritize child abuse prevention.
"Pinwheel gardens remind us of the importance of safeguarding children's well-being and preventing abuse," the release states. "We invite you to explore the pinwheel gardens in our community, a collaborative endeavor between LEVI and Blue Sky Bridge."
The groups said the gardens serve as beacons of hope and unity in the ongoing efforts to create safe and nurturing environments for all children.
