Despite a brief sprinkling of rain, Longmonters gathered to celebrate the return of Longmont's Downtown Summer Concert Series Friday night.
The event blocked off Fourth Avenue from Main Street to Emery Street.
Pato Banton, reggae artist, encouraged the crowd to dance in front of the stage. He also welcomed children onto the stage to sing and dance with him, joining one boy in doing the "floss."
Banton and his band broke in the middle of songs to share words of love, acceptance and understanding.
