OUT Boulder County is inviting residents to a LGBTQ+Mental Health Town Hall on Sept. 1, to discuss the findings of the organization’s 2021 COVID Impacts Survey.
The town hall will also introduce OUT Boulder County’s new program, The Point/El Puente.
The Zoom Webinar is scheduled from 7-8 p.m.
The survey results showed that the needs for mental health services in the LGBTQ+ community are great and have been exacerbated by the pandemic, according to an OUT Boulder County news release.
In response to the need, OUT Boulder County has developed The Point, an entry point for LGBTQ+ community members for mental health therapy and case management services, a program for uninsured and income qualified or Medicaid/Medicare-receiving LGBTQ+ people that offers immediate support and referrals, the news release states.
The town hall is for everyone, including people who are seeking mental health support and for providers who are interested in being a long-term provider for the program, the news release states.
