The race of the at-large seat on the city council is not over, candidate Mitiz Nicoletti said Monday.
Nicoletti is running behind Sean McCoy for the seat, which was vacated last year by Joan Peck who won her bid to be mayor.
McCoy has collected 12,162 votes (36.05%) to Nicoletti’s 11,283 (33.44%), according to the latest post from the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder. Gary Hodges got 10,295 votes (30.51%).
Nicoletti said she believes there are still 17,000 more votes to count in the race. “I am not conceding,” she said.
Boulder County Clerk and Recorder’s office spokeswoman Mircalla Wozniak said another posting of unofficial results was scheduled for late Monday. The last posting of the unofficial count is scheduled for Thursday.
