OUR Center Hosts Sunflower Sundown on September 29
Inspired by the colors displayed in the new OUR Center facility and as a reflection of the fall theme, Executive Director, Edwina Salazar renamed the OUR Center's annual benefit to Sunflower Sundown.
The Sunflower Sundown has been the name of the OUR Center's fall benefit for two years, however, the tradition has been held for over 20 years. The change in the name came when the group began occupation of their new facility, two years ago.
The Annual Fall Benefit will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018, from 6-10 p.m. at the OUR Center Community Center, located at 220 Collyer Street, Longmont.
The event includes "local food from Cheese Importers, Flavor of India, Samples World Bistro, and our own Chef Armando, drinks from Left Hand Brewing, St. Vrain Cidery, and Wyatt’s Wet Goods, live and silent auctions and some fun games, all to raise critical funds for OUR Center’s mission of self-sufficiency for families and individuals in the St. Vrain Valley," states Elaine Klotz, development director for the OUR Center.
All proceeds will benefit the OUR Center's Basic Needs and Child Care programs.
