The Longmont Fire Station #4, located at 501 23rd Avenue, is hosting an open house on Saturday, September 29 from 1-3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The community is invited to stop by to meet the Longmont Firefighters and to look at the equipment.
Instruction will be provided on hands-only CPR and fire extinguishers. The firefighters will teach participants how to use a fire extinguisher properly, how to select one for your property and where to dispose of a fire extinguisher.
Submit Your Questions for the Debate between Rep. Buck and Dr. McCormick
On October 6, the Longmont Observer and the League of Women Voters of Boulder County, in partnership with the Longmont Museum, are hosting a debate between Representative Ken Buck and Dr. Karen McCormick.

Education Foundation Gala Tickets Available
The annual Education Foundation Gala tickets are now available. This event raises funds to support the St. Vrain Valley School district by providing scholarships to students and grant funds to teachers, among other things.
Each year the Education Foundation hosts a formal gala as a fundraiser. This year's event will be held on November 3, 2018, at the Omni Interlocken Hotel, 500 Interlocken Blvd. Broomfield, and will feature silent and live auctions.
Early bird ticket prices are available until October 12. Discounts on hotel prices are available until October 3.
