Bottled water offered to locals until potable water is restored

On Dec. 30, Louisville residents were informed by Boulder Office of Emergency Management to boil water for consumption. Beginning today, the city of Louisville will begin distributing free bottled water.

Bottled water will be distributed at the Louisville Public Library, 951 Spruce St. and the Louisville Recreation and Senior Center, 900 Via Appia Way daily until potable water is restored to the area, according to Boulder OEM.

Bulk water is available at the Louisville Recreation & Senior Center at noon today if residents bring their own containers. The library will soon offer this resource but it is not yet available there.

Via Appia Way has been closed to traffic but is reopened from Pine Street to the recreation center to allow residents access to the water.
