Longmont Fire responded to a fire alarm at Central Longmont Presbyterian Church around 5:40 a.m. on October 13.
The church is located at 402 Kimbark St.
The fire was contained by the quick response of the fire department as well as the sprinklers located inside the church. However, more than $5,000 worth of damages were caused by the fire.
The church was not occupied at the time of the fire.
