Coffee with a Geek - Dec 30, 2021 - Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce

Coffee with a Geek is a new program of the Longmont Chamber in Commerce in partnership with Data Ductus. Come enjoy free advice and talk to a real person about tech-related issues you may be experiencing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 30 at La Vita Bella on Main Street in Longmont. Drop by for 15 minutes or an hour, we are here to help! Our friendly Data Ductus geeks can help with everyday needs like installation and antivirus setup, common troubleshooting problems and backing up your data.

$5 All You Can Play for Quarters Club Members

Quarters Bar and Arcade  "$5 All You Can Play" games for Quarters Club Members happens every Thursday! Come into Quarters from open to close and, for members, it’s all you can play. If you are not a Quarters Club Member, you can purchase a membership that day for $60 per year. 

Ravin' Wolf at Bootstrap Brewing!

Join us at Bootstrap Brewing on Thursday, Dec. 30 for a performance from Ravin’Wolf starting at 6 p.m. Ravin'Wolf is an acoustic mountain blues trio with a red hot smooth peppy groove. People are buzzing about this tight little acoustic back porch jug-jam band throughout the front range of Colorado. They feature a wide variety of song selections from the Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers and Pre-war blues to Johnny Cash and Blues Traveller side by side with their original work. Soaring vocal harmonies and stellar guitar work make each song their own.

Versatile PhD Local Group, Front Range Colorado

Versatile PhD's local group is for PhDs and PhD candidates who are either contemplating or planning on leaving their academic careers. Leaving academia after investing enormous time, effort, and money is scary and complex, but this group provides psychological and emotional support throughout the process. Meetings will focus on navigating difficult conversations with colleagues, friends, and family about your leaving academia, exploring other career options, and making good decisions about when and how to leave. New Years Day Niwot Antique Auction - Boulder County

The 32nd annual New Years Day auction will be held on Saturday, Jan. 1 starting at 10:00 a.m. in the large exhibit building at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont. Some of the items at the auction will include slot machines, coin-op, furniture, antique firearms, swords, clocks, collectibles, bronzes and more.

Open Chess Night

Every Tuesday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. is Open Chess Night at the Longmont Public Library! We will have some tables set aside on the 2nd floor for playing with chess sets available. However, you may bring your own set. This event is open to all ages, but those 16 and younger must have an adult with them at all times. Evenings will be informal and there will be no instruction on how to play (we do have books on the subject)!
