Since 1955, the fine folks at NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) have been tracking Santa Claus as he traverses the globe delivering presents on Christmas Eve.
To find out Santa's current location, feel free to take a gander at the handy live tracker above, kindly provided by NORAD.
NORAD deploys all its resources – radar, satellites, and jet fighters – in order to pinpoint the location of the big guy's sleigh at any given time. To find out exactly how it's done, visit the NORAD HQ website.
The very informative website also includes some frequently asked questions, including: Do your planes ever intercept Santa?
Answer: Over the past 65 years, our fighter jets (F-16s, F-15s, F-22s and CF-18s) have intercepted Santa many, many times. When the jets intercept Santa, they tip their wings to say, "Hello Santa! NORAD is tracking you again this year!" Santa always waves. He loves to see the pilots!
