Berthoud to Johnstown

Monday, 9 p.m. to Sunday, 5 p.m., there will be intermittent northbound and southbound I-25 lane closures at Colorado Highway 56 and Larimer County Road 16 to allow crews to apply pavement markings, saw cut pavement and replace concrete panels.

Wednesday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the southbound I-25 off-ramp at CO 60 will be temporarily closed for sign installation.

Southbound traffic intending to exit at CO 60 will continue south to CO 56, turn and travel north to CO 60. Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the westbound CO 60 right lane over I-25 will be closed for electrical work.

Friday and Saturday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the northbound I-25 off-ramp to LCR 16 will be temporarily closed for concrete panel replacement.

Northbound traffic intending to exit at LCR 16 will continue north to Colorado Highway 402, turn and travel south to LCR 16.
Friday and Saturday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the northbound I-25 off-ramp to CO 56 will be temporarily closed for concrete panel replacement.

Northbound traffic intending to exit at CO 56 will continue north to CO 60, turn and travel south to CO 56.

Johnstown to Fort Collins

To perform roadway finishing work and overhead sign installation on I-25, various full ramp closures will take place nightly next week.

From 9 p.m., Sunday, to 5 a.m., Monday:

  • Full closure of the southbound I-25 off-ramp to Colorado Highway 402 
    • Detour: traffic will continue south on I-25 to Exit 252/US Highway 60, turn east and continue onto the northbound I-25 on-ramp. Continue north on I-25 to Exit 255/ CO 402.

From 9 p.m., Monday, to 5 a.m. Tuesday:

  • Full closure of the northbound I-25 on-ramp from CO 402

Detour: traffic will go south on I-25 to Exit 254/US 60. Traffic will exit, turn left and continue onto northbound I-25.

 

  • Full closure of the northbound I-25 off-ramp to US 34

                o Detour: traffic will continue north on I-25 to Exit 259/Crossroads Boulevard. Traffic will exit, turn left, and continue onto southbound I-25 to Exit 257 / US 34.

From 9 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday:

  • Intermittent full closures of the northbound I-25 off-ramp to CO 392 and off-ramp to Harmony Road
    • Detour: northbound off-ramp traffic will continue north on I-25 to Exit 265/Harmony Road and turn left. Continue back onto southbound I-25 to Exit 262/CO 392.
    • Detour: traffic will go North on I-25 to Exit 268/ Prospect Road and turn left. Continue back onto southbound I-25 to Exit 265/Harmony Road.

From 9 p.m., Wednesday, to 5 a.m., Thursday:

  • Full closure of the southbound I-25 off-ramp to CO 392
    • Detour: southbound off-ramp traffic will continue south on I-25 to Exit 259/Crossroads Boulevard, turn east, and continue onto northbound I-25. Continue north on I-25 to Exit 262/CO 392.
  • Full closure of the southbound I-25 on-ramp from Prospect Road
    • Detour: traffic will go north on I-25 to Exit 269/Mulberry Street and continue back onto southbound I-25.
  • Full closure of the southbound I-25 off-ramp to Prospect Road
    • Detour: traffic will go south on I-25 to Exit 265/ Harmony Road and turn left. Continue back onto northbound I-25 to Exit 268/ Prospect Road.
  • Full closure of the southbound I-25 on-ramp from eastbound Mulberry Street
    • Detour: traffic will go northbound on I-25. Continue north to Exit 271/Mountain Vista Drive, turn left and continue onto southbound I-25.

From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, Sunday through Friday:

Firestone Mobility Hub

  • Intermittent I-25 ramp and single lane closures on I-25 between CO 402 and Prospect Road.
  •  Daytime work, Monday - Saturday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

    Northbound I-25

    • There is a new traffic shift into the median, with three lanes of traffic remaining open.

    Southbound I-25

    • Construction crews will be working on the left shoulder behind the barrier.
    • Traffic Shift - Three lanes remain open with a shift to the right.
    The speed limit for southbound and northbound I-25 is 55 MPH through the active work zone.
     

    East I-25 Frontage Road

    • Construction crews will be working on the shoulder.
    • Flaggers may be in place to guide motorists and trucks into and out of the work zone.

    West I-25 Frontage Road

    About the Project

    Communities along the I-25 North corridor are expanding rapidly, contributing to major economic growth in northern Colorado. The Colorado Department of Transportation is supporting this growth by delivering the expansion of I-25 North. Improvements are currently underway along I-25 between Berthoud and Fort Collins (with more to come from Mead to Berthoud).

    Construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change. Please watch for construction vehicles entering and exiting mainline I-25 and obey all posted signage in construction zones. Your safety and the safety of our crews is our highest priority.

    The I-25 North Express Lanes Project provides a Courtesy Patrol during commute hours (6 to 9 a.m. and 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.) to assist with disabled vehicles within the Project limits from Johnstown to Fort Collins.
    • Construction crews will be working on the left shoulder behind the barrier on the left lane and shoulder.
    • One lane of through traffic. Access to southbound I-25 is open.
      •  Making safety improvements to reduce the number of crashes and fatalities.
      •  Decreasing travel time and increasing trip reliability.
      •  Reducing emissions and improving freight efficiency.
      •  Improve congestion and safety.
      •  Rebuilding aging and obsolete infrastructure.
      •  Improving bicycle, pedestrian and transit connectivity.
