Hunters have an opportunity to sharpen their shooting skills this month at the Longmont Police Department and Boulder County Sheriff’s Firing Range and Training Facility on Sunday, Aug. 22.
Hunters can bring their rifles to sight in for hunting season at the facility — - 10916 County Road 5 — - from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m, according to a Longmont Public Safety Facebook post. Participants must be 12 years or older.
Participants can sight in any distance from 3-100 yards. The firing range and training facility does nor require a membership. Non-range member shooters may bring hunting caliber rifles only, the Facebook post states.
