FNBO is pleased to announce that Gretchen Wahl, Regional Vice President, is continuing as Boulder and Longmont's FNBO City Ambassador.
Gretchen is Boulder and Longmont’s leader to make local decision-making on community involvement, which is a priority for FNBO’s philanthropic giving.
She was asked to step into this leadership opportunity in Frisco and Plano because of her exceptional relationship-building and dedication to the community, so organizations are encouraged to reach out to her directly.

First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) is proud to announce its 2024 City Ambassadors, a group of 21 employees helping to support communities across the bank’s eight-state footprint.
“We are so appreciative of the passion our City Ambassadors have for our communities and the great care they take to ensure communities are supported well, especially in our key focus areas of financial literacy, workforce development and affordable housing,” said Christina Kahler, Managing Director, Philanthropy.
City Ambassadors lead the Impact by FNBO strategy in its local communities by providing direction and visibility for community work internally and externally. They drive local decisions on philanthropic giving and serve as leaders and key points of contact in the community, while helping to ensure employees are engaged in volunteer service and elevating community needs and successes.
“Our City Ambassadors are imperative to how we operate as the great big, small bank,” said David Cota, Executive Vice President, Banking. “Community has always been at the heart of who we are as a company and our City Ambassadors embody that with their work delivering support in all the places we call home.”
In 2023, FNBO’s City Ambassadors oversaw $2.8 million in philanthropic support outside of Omaha. They are appointed for one-year terms, though with their depth of expertise and commitment, many serve for more than a year in the role.
