North Foothills and Nelson Road eastbound, 55th and 65th and Nelson Road and Prospect Road and 63rd Street are closed.
Boulder County OEM is asking the public to avoid the area of the Table Mountain fire in order to "give first responders room to work."
Update, 4:21 p.m.:
Boulder County OEM posted an alert stating the fire in the 5100 block of Nelson Road is being referred to as the Table Mountain fire. The fire is approximately 25 acres in size as of this post.
A post from the emergency center at 4:13 p.m. states "firefighters have made significant progress on the fire." However, the post provided no additional information about what that means.
Everbridge Alerts have been issued and updated throughout the process.
Evacuations are still in effect until otherwise posted.
3:30 p.m.
A grass fire in the area of 55th Street and Nelson Road began around 3:30 p.m.
Boulder County emergency crews are on the scene battling the 5-acre fire.
An evacuation order is in effect for the area within 51st Street to 65th Street and Nelson Road to Neva Road.
