Costco’s Longmont location will be opening in early May, according to the company’s website.
Costco originally indicated that the 150,000-square-foot warehouse store would open its doors to customers no later than July 2024.
In November, city representatives said that good weather and cooperation between the city and company helped speed up the opening. The store is being constructed on a 48-acre site near Harvest Junction South at 205 Ken Pratt Boulevard.
The Costco is expected to bring as many as 300 jobs to Longmont and $4.06 million in new sales tax in the store’s first year of operation. With the project, the city also approved incentives for the store worth more than $12 million.
A spokesperson for Costco said on Wednesday that the company could not share any further information about the opening at this time.
