The Colorado Veterans Project (CVP) has announced the appointment of four new board members. The new members are Deb Dufour, Dan Arkulary, Matt Cornett and Brandy Maranian. The new appointments will help grow one of the largest veteran-related nonprofits in Colorado.

“I’m thrilled to continue serving Colorado’s veteran community as board president alongside this incredible team of community and business leaders who are passionate about supporting our veterans,” said Board President Todd Youngblood. “I know that our organization, and the veteran community, will benefit from the knowledge and skills that each of these service-driven individuals brings.”

Dufour served in the US Navy at various locations, including deployments to Southeast Asia, Kuwait, the USS Cape Cod and finally Naval Amphibious Base Coronado in San Diego before she was discharged in 1993. Dufour was originally connected to Colorado Veterans Project in 2016 and has spent the last six years as an event volunteer. Dufour took on the position of volunteer coordinator before being voted in as board secretary.

Arkulary will serve as the board’s chief relationship officer. Throughout his career he has served on several boards of nonprofits. He has combined his professional and volunteer experience and will bring his “hands-on” approach to CVP.
