The city of Longmont began clearing roads at 3 a.m. today. Local forecasts predict another 1-3 inches of snow to fall throughout the day, potentially ending around 1 p.m. with a high new 31 F and a north wind blowing at 7 to 13 mph and gusts predicted as high as 21 mph.
The city warns that these areas as well as bridges, intersections and overpasses are slick. Snowplow crews are working through the day to lay de-icing material on arterial and collector roads.
