Some Oil and Gas Wells to be Plugged

A plug and abandon operation that will be occurring just outside Longmont’s limits.

A plug and abandon operation is scheduled to occur just outside Longmont’s city limits pertaining to the retirement of the oil and gas wells Newby 13-33, Newby 22-33, Newby 11-33, Newby 25-33, Newby 14-33, Newby 19-33, and Newby 23-33 on the Newby 19-33 Pad. This operation is expected to begin on or around April 2 and last 7-14 weeks. Flaring of gas could potentially be spotted on the site of these well sites. Residents with concerns or questions should call the Anadarko Colorado Response line at 866-248-9577.
