Meat & Eggs Maibock

4.5/5.0Let me start this review by stating I have no idea what a "Maibock" is supposed to be. Other than "-bock" indicating a German heritage and thus potentially being bound by Reinheitsgebot I have no idea. Here's a link to a Wikipedia page I'm going presume is accurate. I'm not reading it until after I'm done with the review.
Meat & Eggs is an interesting beer. Golden in color with both the bitter and floral hops flavors playing major roles in the profile as this beer quenches your thirst. The look, smell, and taste all remind me of a lager, particularly with the bitter finish that doesn't overwhelm. But it's maltier than a lager. There is this subdued taste of honey throughout the drinking experience and that then lingers in the mouth. This beer is a delight chilled, ideal for all weather conditions, and I'm tempted to have a pint with steak and eggs.
