Balloon Art by Merry Makers is pleased to bring The Big Balloon Build to Greeley, Colorado which will be at the Aims Community College Welcome Center on July 20 - 24, 2023. Proceeds will benefit Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy, which gives a voice to children who have been abused or neglected in Weld County.
Allison Dunning, owner of Balloon Art by Merry Makers in Greeley, CO, is bringing in over 75 balloon artists from all around the world to Greeley, CO for this epic event. The Balloon Artists leave their own balloon businesses, their families, pay their own way, their own meals ,own lodging and donate 4.5 days of their talent to bring this Balloon Wonderland to life.
This will be the fourth time ever that the Big Balloon Build has been hosted in the United States and will never return to Northern Colorado! We’ll be transforming the Aims Welcome Center Ballroom into a magical immersive “Space” experience designed entirely with balloons – more than 125,000 of them. You will be an adventurer on a journey through magical strange worlds.
This uplifting adventure will include several great ways to experience the wonder of the Build. After the artist’s complete the Build on July 20 we’ll hand it over to Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy to share with the community and raise important funds for programs as well as awareness about their organization.
On Thursday, July 20, the festivities kick off with a ribbon cutting and media opportunity. Then the children and youth served by Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy get the “First Look” at the fully immersive, larger-than-life walk-through experience. Thursday night will feature a multi-Chamber event which is a networking event for business professionals and will include food, drinks, entertainment and an opportunity for attendees to tour the Big Balloon Build.
There will be five days of public events (Thursday- Monday) plus general admission on Saturday and Sunday.
Friday, July 21
- Gala-xy Experience- 5:45 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.: The Gala-xy Experience will be held in the Ballroom where the Big Balloon Build immersive show is displayed. The evening is sure to entertain with additional shows: Three levels to participate.
Package 1 ($30-$40) 7:00 pm Doors open, cash bar 8:00 pm Show Anthem & Aria - The Psychic Soulmates (seen on America's Got Talent) Balloon Fashion Show Emcees - Brian Gary and Todd Harding Ticket to return Sat or Sun for a tour of the Big Balloon Build
Package 2 ($100.00) Everything from Package 1 Plus... 5:45 pm - Cocktail hour - limited open bar with wine, beer & signature drinks, appetizers provided by Luna's Tacos and Tequila 6:45pm Dinner in the Big Balloon Build catered by Gourmet Grub 8:00 pm - preferred seating for the show.
Package 3 ($200.00) Everything from Packages 1 & 2, plus 5:45 pm Cocktail hour on the Terrace - limited open bar with wine, beer & signature drinks including bourbon from 477 Distillery, appetizers by Centennial Public House. Includes private performance by Anthem & Aria and live music by Gii Astorga 8:00pm - premium seating for the show Nightcap on the Terrace with live music by Gii Astorga.
Saturday, July 22
- Breakfast - Children & Youth - 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.: The Ultimate Breakfast Experience for children, youth and their families (2 seatings). Includes admission into Big Balloon Build. Out of this world characters.
- STEAM Afternoon - 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Youth serving agencies and businesses will be providing S.T.E.A.M activities for children & youth free of charge.
- This family-friendly afternoon also includes crafts as as well as educational options.
- Entrance to STEAM Afternoon is free and does not include general admission to the build
- General admission to the Build - 11:00 to 5:00 p.m.
- Rockin' Eats and Beats - 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.: Enjoy a beautiful Colorado evening with live music featuring 3 bands on the Aims Welcome Center Amphitheater stage. Food trucks will provide a variety of cuisines. Beer and drinks may be enjoyed in the beer garden. Includes admission to tour the Big Balloon Build.
Sunday, July 23
- Breakfast – Children & Youth – 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.: The Ultimate Breakfast Experience for children, youth and their families (2 seatings) Includes admission into Big Balloon Build.
- General admission to the Build - 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Monday, July 24
- Big Balloon Pop: Time to have fun popping thousands of balloons as the balloon display is taken down.
