A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for southeastern Boulder County until 2:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service in Denver issued a severe thunderstorm warning for north central Jefferson County and southeastern Boulder County until 2:45 p.m. today. 

A severe thunderstorm was located near Boulder around 1:59 p.m. today moving southeast at 15 mph. Radar indicated the storm is capable of dropping quarter-sized hail. People in the area can expect some damage to vehicles that remain outside. 

The warning includes: Arvada, Boulder, southwestern Longmont, western Broomfield, Lafayette, Louisville, Erie, Superior, Rocky Flats, Eldorado Springs and Niwot.
