Blue Stone Therapy group announced Thursday that it is expanding its group by acquiring three new physical therapy clinics, including Alpine Therapy in Longmont.

Blue Stone Therapy is a specialist in skilled nursing therapy services to patients in Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. In August, it acquired Alpine Therapy in Longmont, Goodcare LLC and Goodcare AtHome Rehab LLC out of South Dakota.

“On August 1st, we were thrilled to welcome the teams from Goodcare and Goodcare AtHome Rehab into the Blue Stone Therapy family,” said Doug Johnson, founder and CEO of Blue Stone Therapy. “They’ve established a fantastic culture, built a strong brand around top-notch services, and have exceptional leadership. There’s so much potential for collaboration and sharing best practices, which will help us all improve satisfaction for our partners, therapists, and most importantly, our patients.”

The facilities will continue to operate independently with their own support and leadership teams. The facilities will also continue to provide skilled therapy including physical, occupational and speech-language therapies to nursing facilities, school systems and outpatient centers. With the acquisition of Goodcare, Goodcare AtHome Rehab, and Alpine Therapy, the Blue Stone Therapy family of companies now provides contract rehabilitation services and outpatient therapy in 6 states and employs more than 900 therapists.

“Our goal is to enhance 10,000 lives a day and this acquisition moves us closer to our vision,” said Theresa Johnson, Chief Operating Officer of Blue Stone Therapy. “The teams at Goodcare are independent operating units that have experienced leadership so there is no impact on any of our companies. This is a great opportunity to expand our footprint strategically while strengthening all of our service lines.”
