Sam's Club, located at 1200 South Hover Road, Longmont, is under new management.

As of three months ago, Brian Fitzpatrick became the new Club Manager. Fitzpatrick recently moved to Longmont. He has been with Sam's Club for 11 years.

It is Fitzpatrick's goal for the Longmont location of Sam's Club to be, "the friendliest club in the country with 600 clubs nationwide. To be the friendliest, not only club but the friendliest company."

Nick Lee is the new membership experience manager. He has been with the company for four years. Nick is in charge of the marketing department at the Longmont Sam's Club.

According to Abby Lubrano, marketing and membership lead, "People want to know what makes us different and why they should shop with a Walmart corporation." She talked at length that it is important to the new management to listen to the needs and wants of the Boulder County community and stock goods from local vendors.

"We carry stuff from a 30-mile radius from our club," says Lubrano. "A lot of things are super local and people don't know that."

"I think it is important that they cater to the community, it is important that they cater to the population, and what Longmont craves and needs," states Lubrano. She continues to identify that it is important to Boulder County residents to be able to buy local and likes that the Longmont Sam's Club not only identifies that but also works to bring local products into its club. Several of those products include honey, tea, pasta sauce, produce and meat.

The Longmont Sam's Club also believes in helping out local businesses by offering membership incentives during their monthly "Blitz Week." For more information on those incentives contact Abby Lubrano by calling 303-845-4223.

Fitzpatrick and his team believe that it is important to be members of the community. With that philosophy in mind, the Longmont location donates to several local charities, schools and nonprofits, among which include the Longmont Humane Society, St. Vrain Valley School District and the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce. They also make daily food donations to the OUR Center and HOPE. They were recently contacted by Longmont Food Rescue and have begun negotiations with them.

Lubrano says, "it's not just new management, it's a new image and ideology for Sam's Club. For Sam's Club, the motive behind it is different, it's more local, it's more personable, it's caring."
