La Momo Maes celebrated their ribbon cutting on March 16, 2018 for joining the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce (LACC).
Brian Berry, chair for the Longmont Chamber Board of Directors, presented a plaque to the mother-daughter team Michelle Leaming and Cathy Fiegenschuh (mother) to commemorate the event.
Barry began by saying, "This is a ribbon cutting that I have been looking forward to since I found out. It's not everyday that you get to present a plaque to one of your best friends. I'm fortunate enough to get to do that here today. I was driving in and thinking about just how many families that La Momo Maes Bakery has helped make special memories for, whether it's a birthday cake, anniversary cake, gender-reveal cake, a pie for Thanksgiving or Christmas. There are so many ways that you guys have touched so many families in this community."
"My mom and I are so excited. This wasn't even an options seven weeks ago. We didn't even know about this. This is how fast this turned around for us," said Leaming.
"We took over this space, not the previous bakery, but this space, two and half weeks ago. Thanks to friends and family for transforming this. Its because of you guys and because of the Chamber that we're able to do this and make a second location happen."
La Momo Maes is keeping their downtown location. They have been a family owned bakery specializing in cakes for 25 years.
