Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center (CTRC) celebrated a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, for joining the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce (LACC).
Scott Cook, CEO of the LACC, presented Michele Bruhn, Executive Director of the CTRC, with a plaque to commemorate the event.
CTRC also celebrated the installation of a brand new SureHands lift, which was donated by the family of Lib Matsch. Lib passed away this past October.
"Everything you see, everything you can experience here at the CTRC, she had some connection to," said Bruhn.
"We are absolutely blessed and very grateful for this amazing, magnificent donation by Lib's family."
Bruhn also stated that the new lift will "virtually eliminate many, many safety hazards when mounting and dismounting people with physical considerations in and out of wheelchairs."
"We'll be able to serve the Longmont community and our greater front range community like never before," said Bruhn.
CTRC is the oldest therapeutic riding center in Colorado and was established in 1980. Last year, they served over 600 people in their therapeutic riding and hippotherapy program.
