On June 14, 2019, the Education Foundation, local businesses, and the Longmont Downtown Development Authority (LDDA) hosted an All Class Reunion for graduates of SVVSD.
Alumni from all of the SVVSD high schools signed in at a booth and grabbed a necklace of school spirited beads.
Throughout the sectioned off street, groups of friends from "the good old days" were found catching up and sharing memories.
The Longmont Dowtown Summer Concert Series has been a venue for these reunions for the last six years. According to Scott Nix, who introduced the idea to Kimberlee McKee, executive director of LDDA, he hopes that it will continue for many more. He states that it is a great event for alumni to meet and have a good time.
The summer series continues with three more concerts:
- Downtown Summer Concert: Mono Verde Collective & Roka Hueka Friday, Jun 21, 2019 6-9:30 p.m.
- Downtown Summer Concert: Grant Farm & Banshee Tree Friday, Jun 28, 2019 6-9:30 p.m.
- Downtown Summer Concert: High Country Harley-Davidson Bike Night Friday, Jul 26, 2019 6-9:30 p.m.
All concerts take place at 4th and Kimbark Streets.
