The Boulder County Elections Division next week will conduct a logic and accuracy test on ballots and equipment to be used for the 2020 General Election.
“The test ensures that equipment properly tabulates votes. Each type of ballot and all ballot styles will be tested to verify they are properly printed and read by the scanning equipment,” according to a county news release. “The test will also confirm that scanning equipment settings are properly calibrated for the ballots.”
Testing will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 6 and, if needed, will continue the same hours on Oct. 7 and 8, until finished, according to the release.
The testing is open to the public but because of COVID-19, the county is encouraging people to observe the process via remote video. In-person space is limited.
In-person participants and observers will be required to wear a mask and follow instructions provided by staff, according to the release. A temperature check and wellness screen also might be required upon arrival each day.
RSVP is requested by 3 p.m. Monday by emailing [email protected] or calling 303-413-7740.
Documentation and results will be available online when testing is complete, according to the release.
