Rachel & Tim Shannon: We are originally from Butte Montana and moved to Colorado after college. We have been in the Longmont area for almost 20 years and all our kids went to the local schools here starting in preschool and now are attending the University of Colorado, University of Northern Colorado and one awesome elementary school in the St. Vrain Valley! We love to camp, ski and hike and are avid sports enthusiast so Colorado is the perfect fit for us and we consider this our forever home.
We always talked about starting a business that the family can do together. My parents owned a small grocery store when I was growing up in Butte and Tim's parents owned a small appliance store for over 50 years and is now owned by his brother and is still running to this day in uptown Butte. It is in our blood and getting to know your customers and the community personally is the best part of any small business. Our son Brett has joined the Dee-O-Gee team and our hope is that together we can make this a family business that will continue for many years.
