WHEAT RIDGE - Wheat Ridge High School students were evacuated from school on Friday morning at around 11:15 a.m. after the Wheat Ridge Police Department identified a bomb threat made on social media.
Police officers, state troopers, and trained K9s swept the school grounds and did not find any evidence of bombs, weapons, or other threats. Police cleared the school grounds at around 1 p.m.
The threat was made by a teenage girl, who has been taken into custody. It is currently unclear whether or not the suspect is a student at Wheat Ridge High School. Wheat Ridge is the only high school that was targeted by this threat.
