Breaking news: Man arrested in high risk situation in NE Longmont

Police are still investigating the man's residence.

Longmont Police served a high risk warrant in northeast Longmont today, near Preston Drive.

Around 3:35 p.m. today, the Longmont Police announced it had arrested a 31-year-old man who was wanted for multiple warrants related to domestic violence and threats. 
Longmont Police, Detectives and the Bomb Squad have remained in the area to search the man's home, according to an update from Robin Ericson, communications and marketing manager at Longmont Public Safety.
"We expect to be opening streets soon. We appreciate the neighborhood's assistance as we executed this search warrant," Ericson said in the update. 
Further updates to the situation are expected later this evening.
