Three homes caught on fire in Superior last week in two unrelated incidents. Two neighboring homes caught on fire on August 14, then another house caught on fire on August 15. Only one injury was reported, which occurred during the fire on August 15.

On August 14 at 10:51 p.m., the Boulder Regional Communications Center received multiple calls regarding a house on fire in the 1400 block of Vinca Place. According to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), the BCSO, Mountain View Fire Protection District, Louisville Fire Department and the Lafayette Fire Department responded to the scene and found two homes on fire.

The BCSO said that the flames were quickly extinguished and that the occupants of one house were able to escape unharmed; the other home was unoccupied. No injuries were reported during this incident, but both homes sustained fire and water damage.

Then, less than 24 hours later, on August 15 at 9:42 p.m., the Boulder Regional Communication Center received a call for service regarding a structure fire in the 1900 block of Estabrook Way. The BCSO, the Mountain View Fire Protection District, the Louisville Fire Department and the Lafayette Fire Department responded to the scene and found a single-family home on fire.

According to the BCSO, the flames were quickly extinguished, but the house sustained fire and smoke damage. The neighboring homes were not impacted by the fire. One male occupant was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the BCSO said, and no other injuries were reported.

The BCSO said that the causes of both fire incidents are currently under investigation by the Mountain View Fire Protection District.
