The University of Colorado Boulder announced on Friday that Cynthia Erivo will be visiting its campus on April 7. Erivo, who starred in the 2024 film Wicked and is a Grammy®, Emmy® and Tony® Award-winning actress, singer and producer, was invited by CU Boulder’s Center for Leadership and the Office of Strategic Relations and Communications to be the keynote speaker at the university’s Conference on World Affairs.

The university’s annual Conference on World Affairs, according to FOX31, brings together dozens of leaders and experts in arts, business, human condition, international affairs, politics, media, science, and technology. This year’s conference will take place from April 7 to April 11 with a theme of “lead, innovate and impact.”

Erivo will take part in a discussion about her life journey and her experience of being a woman in the arts industry, which will be moderated by the director of CU Boulder’s Center for Leadership, Stefanie K. Johnson.

The university said that a group of CU students will be pre-selected to ask Erivo questions on the evening of April 7 and will have the opportunity to meet her following the program.

Tickets to the event are free and will be made available to the public during the week of March 17. Most tickets will be allotted to CU Boulder students.
