Dunn and his partner, Officer Bethany Grusing, were on duty when a vehicle, allegedly driven under the influence by Stephen Geer, struck multiple vehicles, ultimately causing one of them to fatally injure Dunn.
Officer Grusing, along with two civilians, also sustained serious injuries in the accident.
The driver, Geer, is facing charges related to the incident, including vehicular homicide and vehicular assault, with a court hearing set for this Thursday.
