In a heartwarming act of kindness, a Douglas County deputy came to the rescue of “Captain America” when his motorcycle broke down on the way to Children’s Hospital in Highlands Ranch.

The quick-thinking deputy, Zach Zepeski, provided crucial support, ensuring the superhero could continue his journey.

Motorbike Breakdown

Matt Gnojek, known as Captain America, was on C470 when his motorcycle unexpectedly stopped running.

The vehicle simply wouldn’t start, and unfortunately, Gnojek’s insurance didn’t cover the cost of a tow.

That’s when Deputy Zach Zepeski spotted the superhero in distress and decided to pull over to help.

“I couldn’t leave Captain America stranded,” Zepeski said.

The deputy took immediate action, making sure the motorcycle was safely towed, allowing Gnojek to continue on his way to meet fans at the hospital.

Swift Action by Deputy

Zepeski didn’t hesitate to take care of the towing expenses himself, considering it an early Christmas gift.

Gnojek was grateful for the deputy’s help, expressing his thanks for Zepeski’s quick thinking which allowed him to keep his commitment to visiting the children at the hospital.

Later that day, Gnojek returned the favor by attending the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office “Shop With a Cop” event, where he met local kids and thanked Zepeski in person.

The event allows families in need to pick out gifts with the deputies, and Gnojek’s presence highlighted the positive impact of community support and public safety officers.
