On Saturday, March 10 the local 4-H is hosting a family friendly carnival for people of all ages. The carnival will be located at the Boulder County Fair Grounds, Exhibit Building (9595 Nelson Rd., Longmont).
The carnival runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Over 30 active 4-H clubs will be attendance with food and game booths. Tickets for the booths are 25 cents each. All proceeds will benefit the 4-H clubs and the youth council.
In addition to the booths, a silent auction will be held from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Participants must be present to claim the prize.
According to representative, Markley Walsh, "This is a wholesome family friendly event. The goal is to raise funds for 4-H clubs and the youth council. The money goes back into the community and allows the clubs to perform community services projects."
The 30 active 4-H clubs vary on the interests of the groups. The categories include interests in: livestock, horses, general projects and a combination of the other categories. Each group is unique.
