The Centennial State Ballet (CSB) is opening their 2018-2019 season with a performance of The Secret Garden on Saturday, September 29 at the Longmont Museum, located at 400 Quail Road.
"The non-profit youth ballet organization celebrates their 21st performance Season, entitled Coming of Age, with this first performance," states a press release from the Centennial State Ballet.
“Turning 21 years of age in our culture means you become an adult; it’s a coming of age. It felt fitting that this was our theme for the Season,” explains Executive Artistic Director, Kristin Kingsley.
The Secret Garden tells the story of, "an orphan named Mary and her journey of self-growth and compassion," states the press release.
Directing the ballet is Kristin Kingsley. Pianist Devon Newburn will provide accompaniment. The student dancers are from CSB's associated school, Longmont Modern Dance Theatre Academy.
Performances for September 29 will be at 2 and 7 p.m. For tickets click here.
